My friend Kelly has a book of secret stairs in the Berkeley and Oakland, and we decided to hunt some out this weekend. We did the “Cordornices Park” walk in the book. Where it started:

Apparently this guy goes and counts all the steps because for every staircase he would list the number.

It was as if we stepped into this whole other staircase world, and when we got back to the car, it felt like we were stepping back out of it.
